Nevin Harper

Nevin Harper, PhD, RCC, has more than twenty-five years leadership experience in outdoor adventure education as a guide, clinical counsellor, administrator, researcher and author. He is a professor in the School of Child & Youth Care at the University of Victoria and a research advisor to outdoor education and therapy organizations internationally. Nevin is co-author of Nature-based Therapy (2019) and Co-editor of Outdoor Therapies (2020)—two recent texts defining the confluence between outdoor programming, mental health and wellbeing. His research examines the role of natural environments and adventure experiences in human health and development.
